RV Dinette
An RV Dinette set is generally available in two basic configurations. One type of RV dining table is composed of a free-standing dinette table with four chairs. This table accommodates up to 4 people. The other common type of travel trailer or motorhome dinette is known as an RV Booth Dinette. Like the previously discussed RV dining table, this motorhome dinette seats four. They are generally equipped with well padded seat cushions, and their size is akin to that of a booth at the local Waffle House.
RV Dinette Booth or RV Dinette Tables?
So, which do you choose? It's really more of a personal preference than anything else. Both types of RV tables will provide you and your fellow campers with the basics of a kitchen table to eat on and chairs to sit in. But, at the end of the day it comes down to whether or not you want to sit at a booth or a table. My personal preference is a booth.
The 1998 Jayco Fifth Wheel that I recently purchased, for a modest price, has an RV Dinette Booth in it. What I like about the dinette booth, and you may too; is the fact that they are sort of an all-in-one type of arrangement, and the RV dinette cushions are well padded and quite comfortable. Also, when in-transit to your next destination, the RV booth doesn't need to be secured. Less trouble! I'm all for it!
Almost forgot, The RV dinette booth that my travel trailer has is a standard booth. There are also "U-Shaped" RV booths out there. They are larger and seat more people.

RV Dinette Cushions for Your RV Booth
Another thing to consider when deciding between an RV dinette booth or RV table and chairs is dinette cushion replacement. If you use your camper, travel trailer or motorhome with any regularity, or are a full-timer living aboard; the cushions on your recreational vehicle dinette will become worn and need replacing. Whether you decide on the free standing type of kitchen dinette set or go for the RV booth, the upholstery will need replacing.
On an RV dinette booth, replacing the cushion covers is a snap! Unzip the seat and the back, pull cushion out, put cushion into new cover, zip back up. Poof! You're done! Your RV dinette cushions are replaced just that quick.
